Tahoe Bob LuVisi Songlines, Stories and Musings

Hello World, Welcome to my personal website where I will present my music to you. This is a site about my songs, where they come from, and how to find them on the internet, where you can listen to them, and purchase the songs you want to keep. I dedicate this site to my children and friends who have been asking me to do this for a long time. I hope you enjoy my efforts and I wish you love, peace and joy. 3/25/24

This video is an homage to open mics and to the valuable role they play in bringing community together. This is my first attempt to put lyrics to song in video. At the time this video was produced there were not any software programs that were dedicated to overlaying lyrics. I ended up using Adobe Spark and I thought it turned out pretty good for the first time.

This is an instrumental version of a medley I put together and later produced. I'll let the music speak for itself.

I wrote this during the reign of the former president and during the time of Covid. It was hard times and I dove deep into my roots to come up with this song. Based on a 12 bar country blues structure, it has a swing 8 feel. It's one of my more popular songs and I enjoy playing it with my friends and performimg for an audience

This song has deep roots in the blues and it displays my generally anti- authoritarian attitude about certain things, It has a rag time feel and it is one of my earliest song productions.

This is my very first production, recorded live in the studio I helped build at Fairhaven College, part of Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. The year was 1980.

This song was also recorded at Fairhaven. My roomate at the time, was a piano repair man, and he contributed the piano and fiddle parts. My partner John Dog was on the drum kit and another friend of his played bass. This song combines my folk and bluegrass interests.

This song was one of my first home studio projects. The idea for the song began as a simple arrangement that I played and recorded with a piano player in a music store. At the time, I had no idea how to transcribe the recording into a music score so I asked my friend Rose, an accomplished piano player to do the transcription for me and , many years later, I used the music to write a song about yearning and experiencing love in a relationship.

This song began back in Fairhaven (1980), went through several revisions, and finally was published a few years ago. Fun to do, it's another ragtime piece. It fits me beacuse, at times, I feel like I'm living a ragtime life.

This is the most recent song I've published and I love this song because it speaks to my inner core and it was so easy to write. I like to say it was a gift from the heavens. Two friends helped me with the harmony voices and another friend added his ukelele part. Thank you Laura, Adam and Eric.
